Understanding Kafka Producers: The Backbone of Present Data Streaming 

Apache Kafka is a distributed streaming platform enabling high-throughput, low-latency data ingestion. In this system, producers play a crucial role by publishing messages on specific topics.   • Round-Robin Distribution (Key Absent): If a message doesn’t have a key (key is null), Kafka employs a round-robin approach, distributing messages across all partitions.
  • Ordered Delivery by Key: When a message key is provided, Kafka utilizes a hashing algorithm (murmur2 by default) to determine the target partition for the message. This ensures all messages with the same key end up in the same partition, preserving order for that specific data stream.

  • Ordered Data Processing: Keys facilitate ordered delivery of messages within a specific data stream (messages with the same key).

Serialization is the process of converting your data objects (key and value) into a byte stream that Kafka can understand and transmit efficiently. Kafka producers come equipped with various built-in serializers for common data types like strings, integers, floats, and Avro.
